What is hypnotherapy supervision

Hypnotherapy supervision is a structured, professional process in which hypnotherapists review their client work with a qualified supervisor to ensure safe, ethical, and effective practice.

I offer Solution Focused Hypnotherapy supervision that is clear, respectful, and grounded in professional responsibility. Sessions provide space to reflect on your work, think critically about clinical decisions, and explore challenges without judgement or pressure to perform.

Supervision with me is collaborative rather than directive. You are supported to recognise your strengths, consider options carefully, and make informed decisions about your clients, your boundaries, and your ongoing development as a practitioner. The focus remains on clarity, accountability, and maintaining high standards of client care — not on analysing you or your clients unnecessarily.

Regular supervision is a core part of ethical practice. It supports reflective thinking, protects both therapist and client, and helps ensure your work remains safe, appropriate, and sustainable over time.

I offer both one-to-one and group supervision, allowing you to choose the format that best suits your stage of practice, learning style, and professional needs.

Supervision requirements

I have run a successful hypnotherapy practice since qualifying as a clinical hypnotherapist in 2017 and have supported hundreds of clients in that time. I now offer Solution Focused supervision to support other therapists in meeting their professional and ethical responsibilities.

Most professional associations require a minimum number of supervision hours in order to remain compliant. These requirements are not simply a numerical obligation, but an essential part of maintaining safe practice and continuing professional development.

Supervision provides dedicated time to review client work, reflect on ethical considerations, stay informed, and strengthen clinical confidence. It also offers reassurance when navigating uncertainty, responsibility, or more complex cases.

Who is it for

I work with hypnotherapists at all stages of practice, from newly qualified practitioners to those with several years of clinical experience. My supervision is suitable for therapists who value a positive, reflective, and Solution Focused approach, while also wanting clear professional boundaries and high standards of client care.

I welcome hypnotherapists from a range of training backgrounds. While my supervision is informed by Solution Focused principles, it is not limited to Solution Focused practitioners. Supervision sessions focus on thoughtful reflection, professional responsibility, and supporting you to practise with confidence and clarity in your own way.

My supervision tends to suit therapists who appreciate connection, shared learning, and a collaborative space to think carefully about their work, while remaining accountable and ethically grounded.

About your supervisor

I am a qualified clinical hypnotherapist and Solution Focused supervisor, with many years of experience in practice and in providing professional supervision to other therapists.

My supervisory approach is grounded, supportive, and reflective. When therapists bring doubt or uncertainty, we return to the fundamentals: the purpose of the work, the client’s goals, and what we already know. I work in a Solution Focused way, helping supervisees step out of unhelpful narratives and reconnect with clarity, reasoning, and professional confidence.

Supervision with me is collaborative rather than hierarchical. I encourage thoughtful exploration, shared learning, and open discussion, while also being clear about boundaries, safety, and ethical responsibility. Where situations call for it, I am direct and will guide supervisees to follow appropriate codes of conduct and professional standards.

I take professional responsibility seriously and model this within supervision. If something falls outside my immediate knowledge, I am transparent about consulting further, researching, or discussing the matter with my own supervisor. Supervision is not about having all the answers, but about holding responsibility with care and integrity.

Therapists who work well with me tend to be open-minded, reflective, and willing to both receive and offer support. My aim is to provide a positive, containing supervisory space where therapists feel supported, connected, and confident in the decisions they make in their clinical work.

One-to-One Hypnotherapy Supervision

One-to-one supervision offers a confidential, focused space to review your client work in depth.

Sessions are tailored to your individual practice, level of experience, and professional responsibilities. We focus on case discussion, ethical considerations, boundaries, and clinical decision-making, always within a clear and supportive supervisory framework.

This format is particularly suited to trainees, newly qualified practitioners, and experienced therapists who value privacy, clarity, and structured reflection.

One-to-one hypnotherapy sessions are:

  • 1 hour
  • Held online over Zoom
  • £70
  • Available as per my clinic calendar below

Group Hypnotherapy Supervision

Group supervision provides an opportunity to reflect on client work within a professionally facilitated, supportive group setting.

Cases are presented anonymously, and discussion is guided to ensure confidentiality, respect, and constructive reflection. Group supervision allows therapists to benefit from shared experience, different perspectives, and collective learning, while maintaining clear professional boundaries.

This format can be especially valuable for normalising challenges, broadening clinical thinking, and feeling supported within a community of peers.

Group hypnotherapy supervisions sessions are:

  • 2 hours
  • Held online over Zoom
  • £30
  • Dates can alternate between Monday and Friday evenings
